Store up in the Metropolitan Museum of Art
The creation of three ceramic items, Bizensundou water container, Bizenhidasukiakoda Water Container and Inbeoke Water Container were store up in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is, I feel that my seeking of the forming and firing, is understand and supported.

I would like to write the circumstances of storing up those ceramics in New York Metropolitan Museum.
Seven years back, I held my exhibition in New York.

Those who came to Exhibition, in relating to Art, including Metropolitan Museum, and other Museum Curators, Critics, special coordinators talked and discussed eagerly about Exhibition arts.

They have had interested in my concept of Forming and Firing.

The next year, among many exhibitioners in the year, an eminent American Art Magazine has chosen 12 exhibitioners to introduce their exhibition items in the magazine and I was one on the 12 exhibitioner.

After five years of that, an Art Critic Mister Shibatsuji Masahiko received a letter from the Special coordinator asking him check Anjin Abe`s feeling if he is interesting store up his work in the Museum, but neither of Mr. Shibatsuji nor I didn't comprehend the letter completely, so consequently the letter was sit on his desk drawer for a year, then again it was on my desk drawer another a year after the letter was given to me from Mr. Shibatsuji. The total of 2 years the invitation letter was slept in our drawer.

Last November, Artist Kawashima Takeshi of New York came back Japan. He stopped by, so we had wine till next morning. Though I had, in my mind about the invitation letter regarding to up store the items in museum, but, I didn't mention it to him. As it is such a big mater to up store in museum, I was afraid he might laugh.

But after period of hesitance I decided it will be alright if he laughs, so I told him about the letter.

He was surprised, saying it is a none cense, I have never heard of such thing in New York for you have not yet take action of this mater. He encouraged me to take immediate action.

In conveniently, I had 3 satisfied items on hand. And in last December I send them off. After a talk to museum official in last January this year, then up storing was deicide.

I apologized not to show the items before the up storing; the procedure of storing was too quick to have an exhibition of the items. Hopefully the chances of its exhibition becomes in the future.
